Law and Policy Issues

ACTIVITIES

The activities of The Law and Policy Group, Inc. focus on issues of concern both here and abroad.

Teen pregnancies are higher in the United States than in most other countries. The fathers of children born to teenage mothers are too often older men.
Girls, boys, and teenagers need to know that there are state and federal
laws available for their protection. see Statutory Rape

Issues of concern to The Law and Policy Group, Inc include efforts to
improve educational opportunities for children in public schools. see Education

Forced labor remains an international issue of concern in much of the world.
Girls and women are being kidnapped or seduced into sexual slavery and
forced labor. see Sexual Slavery/Human Trafficking

The Law and Policy Group, Inc. delivered a letter to the President of
Nigeria supported by over one hundred individuals and organizations
protesting the sentence of death by stoning imposed on women who have children out of wedlock. see Action Items

The Law and Policy Group, Inc. holds community programs that enable the public to better understand the laws and policies affecting their lives. Those programs include issues of criminal justice, education, health and welfare including specific informational programs on statutory rape, HIV/AIDS, the
death penalty, and international human rights. see Events Calendar

The Law and Policy Group raised concerns about certain provisions of the
U.S.A. Patriot's Act which make it difficult for defense lawyers to protect
the interests of their clients.

Members of The Law and Policy Group, Inc. are available to speak at your upcoming event. see Speakers Bureau
